PROGRAM DETAILS
This quarter’s summit will focus on Service after Service and the impact that veterans are having on their communities through their efforts in business, government, and law. After the initial networking session, there will also be a Housing Pillar update from Pillar Director Jim Lindenmayer as well as an introduction to our newest board member, and first ever Chief of Women Veterans, Amy Stevens. We’re also excited to announce that Major Brian Wilson, Commanding Officer, US Marine Corps Recruiting, RS Atlanta, will be providing our keynote address.

There is no cost to attend this event, however, there is a fee to park in and around the hotel. There are several options for parking ranging from Hyatt Valet Service to pay-to-park lots around the hotel. MARTA also has a station that is very close to the hotel. Join Team RWB Atlanta and Eagles across the nation for #EagleNamasDay on #WorldYogaDay! Grab your red shirt, bring a friend and meet us for some yoga, fun, coffee and, of course, donuts! We will be taking over the Home Depot Back Yard at Mercedes-Benz Stadium Friday morning.
Yoga will kick off at 8 AM led by our friends from Decatur Yoga & Pilates.
There will be giveaways for the first 50 Eagles to show up.

The Atlanta Roundtable of the CSCMP is lucky to have Major General Thomas Kane (Ret.) give a discussion on his lengthy experience in Supply Chain with the US Air Force. General Kane brings his 30+ years of experience in leadership to our Roundtable to deliver the compelling story of his career, some of his most difficult logistical missions around the world, and what lessons in a lifetime of service he’s learned that apply to all of us. Veterans and Active Military are offered a free registration for this event.

About our speaker:
General Kane entered the Air Force in June 1974 as a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He initially served as a T-37 instructor pilot and academic instructor. He has held numerous key operational leadership positions. His commands include two airlift wings, a group and two squadrons. The general also served as the Air Mobility Command Inspector General and as the Deputy Director, Reaction Force Air Staff, Allied Command Europe (NATO) in Kalkar, Germany. General Kane’s final assignment was Director of Strategic Plans, Requirements and Programs, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Ill. He has also served as Deputy Chief of Staff, United Nations Command and U.S. Forces Korea, Yongsan Army Garrison, South Korea, and as the U.S. member of the UNC Military Armistice Commission. He interacted with UNC and Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission liaison groups from 19 nations, and he supervised UNC (Rear) headquarters at Camp Zama, Japan.

Join us at Emory University as President Claire E. Sterk hosts a conversation to hear experts explore Georgia’s role in dealing with the unconscious bias veterans confront in the civilian workplace. Lauren Katzenberg, editor of At War, The Times’s channel dedicated to exploring the experience and costs of war, will moderate the discussion. Panelists include: John Ismay, At War staffer for The Times; Vivian Greentree, Navy veteran and senior vice president of global corporate citizenship at First Data; Jason Dozier, Army veteran and director of program operations and evaluation at Hire Heroes USA; and Ginger Miller, a disabled veteran, veteran’s spouse, business owner, chief executive officer and founder of Women Veterans Interactive.

The ASU Alumni Association, in support of the Pat Tillman Foundation, is proud to coordinate Tillman Honor Runs, hosted by ASU Alumni Chapters & Clubs around the United States.
On April 27, join the ASU Alumni Georgia Chapter to run or walk 4.2 miles and raise money to support the Tillman Scholar program. Tillman Honor Runs are casual, family-friendly fun-runs. We welcome you to come together with ASU alumni, fans, and members of the military community as we remember and honor the legacy of Pat Tillman.
